* This site rated PG 13 and up. If you wish to add content to a board, it is up to you whether that is made public or not.
* This site is somewhat realistic. Because playing wolves realisticly restricts how much you can have your character do...
Yes! These are a lot of rules! Skim through them as needed, I don't require you to read them all first hand. But before asking a question, look over the rules...
Rules for new members :
How to set up an account --
o Choose a username. The user name should be the same as your wolf; put some decent thought into your character, too.
o After signing up, go to profile; and edit your display name so that it is capitilized. Nothing else.
o Fill out an application for your character, and wait for an admin to accept you.
Rules for general chat :
o True, we do not censor your posts here. I assume that you will be level headed and use common sense.
o No chatspeak of any kind. In and out of character. You should know proper English by now.
o If you have a question, please PM an admin or post in the support board.
o Inactive accounts will get deleted. (Having not posted in over five days without a reason.)
Rules for role playing:
General stuff --
o Absolutely no wolf speak/script...period.
o The site is somewhat realistic. Meaning, no drastic color changes, elements, or wings. Odd tribal markings are okay, but please have a normal coat and eye coloration.
- Each pack as its own set of rules and laws that the members must follow; however, lone wolves are not expected to know these codes.
o If you wish to have a new character, you must create a new account under that name, and post the application under that account.
o Please keep in mind that your character can't jump ahead in time. You are only allowed to play your character in one area at a time. (However, you are allowed to have as many as you want, in any area you want; hoping that you can control them all.)
o You are expected to know how to role play, and decently. None of this 'literate' 'illiterate' stuff, got it? We don't eat 'm00fins', and we don't use 'sp0rks'. Role playing is an art, and it's participants were not meant to be given absurd labels...
o As far as pictures for your character go...okay, but, do not stretch the board with images in your signature! Pictures are not required, in your avatar or signature. If you do decide to use an image to represent your character, make sure that it is sized to 300x300, and it can be less.
Fighting --
o No power playing. Allow the user to control their own wolf. If you happen to be in a skirmish, agree upon the proper amount of damage that each character will receive; and if not that, then allow the other user a proper amount of time to respond appropriately.
o No god modeling/modeling. Your wolf can die, and will eventually. They are not, as stated, a god. You only get one chance at life, don't blow it. Your characters cannot dodge every move, they will get injured.
Breeding, mates, and pups --
o Seeing as this is only somewhat realistic, wolves may mate based on the alpha's decision; and year round. Pups can be born during any season, however, any born during the winter months are less likely to live.
o Any rank may form an attachment to another character, however, the above rule does apply to the pair's ability to breed.
o A female can have up to eleven pups, but I would rather no more than four. This makes it easier to adopt out characters, so that our files aren't crammed and packed with unadopted characters. Also, to make sure this doesn't happen, any pup that isn't adopted within a few weeks will die...
Rankings :
o Lone wolves will not be as strong or fit as a wolf that lives in a pack. They are more likely to get disease, die sooner, and lose in a fight or skirmish. Sharp-tongued loners won't stand much of a chance against a thick-headed alpha.
- Loners do not usually have mates, or pups.
- Loners can attempt to join a pack.
- Hunting is much harder for a lone wolf. They cannot bring down large prey, suck as a deer or elk. Loners are restricted to rabbits, and other rodents...birds, and the like.
o Seperate packs have their own way of labeling members in the rank system. If you wish to know their rankings, please check that specific pack's rule book.
